Happy Stamp Anniething DT day! Also known as Tuesday! For my live this month I had a play with watercolour backgrounds and then the pencil-stencil thing over the top! I ended up making four backgrounds and have now processed them into usable cards! I love making backgrounds from play/mess/experiment sessions. I am going to startContinue reading “Faunomenal Birthday”

Flowery Zoo
I think these are called spinner cards? The animals are two sided and spin round. I actually found a super cute paper mobile kit (from Papermania) and decided it would make a different kind of card. When you make a lot of cards for the same family you have to think about fresh ideas! NotContinue reading “Flowery Zoo”
Birthday at the Zoo
I think I have had several fun birthday outings to the Zoo, it’s one of my fav things to do, tho I think I might be a bit of a photo-bore and always trying to grab a good shot! My friend Amy Hurley Purdie recently did a set of cards using some of her awesomeContinue reading “Birthday at the Zoo”
Oh Deer.
So this was a commissioned card for one of my besties. Her partner wanted something special for her 50th! We had been talking about stag tattoo designs for yonks so this is why it has a bit of a tattoo-ish feel about it. She does now have a stag tattoo, but not this design. ThisContinue reading “Oh Deer.”
Magnolia
I made a couple of cards using a white heat-embossed Magnolia Stamp and Gansai Tambi Watercolours. I then printed greetings onto vellum to pop a sentiment between the flowers. I also added some sequins from the stash. Magnolia Stamp is from Sheena Douglass, A little bit floral. I am not keen on using her stampsContinue reading “Magnolia”
Mr Slater’s Parrot
Good Dr.Digi Friyay to you! I am feeling pretty up-to-date right now, this is actually a new release! This is Mr. Slater’s Parrot (digistamp) from Dr.Digi’s House of Stamps! Why is it called that? Cos Dr.Digi loves an obscure music reference! lol. Don’t tell him I said that 😉 I had fun with this image,Continue reading “Mr Slater’s Parrot”
E.E. Smith
A very specific card, as requested by my friend, for her to give to her Dad. He is a big fan of science fiction novels and an author himself. His favourite author is E.E. Smith so I made a background by compiling the images from covers and then printed a small passage from one ofContinue reading “E.E. Smith”
Dyb Dyb Dyb
Another quick post because this card was very simple, but I think it worked out well. I make a fair few scout related cards so was happy with a new idea of using the old “dyb, dyb, dyb” cliché. It would have actually been pretty speedy to make using the electronic cutter, but for someContinue reading “Dyb Dyb Dyb”
Flowers and Buttons
Back on the marathon card catch-up! I made this set of flowery cards using a free set from Making Cards Magazine, and maybe some elements from previous sets from them that matched well. Also a personal challenge this set was to use some buttons, I’ve always struggled to make buttons look intentional and not likeContinue reading “Flowers and Buttons”
Polka Dots First Birthday
I went for a little look for other LOTV baby cards and found two more! Perhaps I should try to sound more organised! It’s a rather long outstanding blogging list, I confess. doh! So I ma back with Polka Dot, from Lili of the Valley that I coloured with polychromos for a commissioned first birthdayContinue reading “Polka Dots First Birthday”
