I think I have had several fun birthday outings to the Zoo, it’s one of my fav things to do, tho I think I might be a bit of a photo-bore and always trying to grab a good shot!
My friend Amy Hurley Purdie recently did a set of cards using some of her awesome Doodlebug paper stash and I realised I had an untouched Doodlebug pack too – “At the zoo”. I decided to make 5 cards using some of my fav papers in the set and do a bit of a batch make!

So I took a layout I loved by Jackie Jasper and went with that for all 5 cards. I added a great paper from “At the Zoo” with a diagonal top edge, then added a series of stamped characters coloured with Copics.

I mixed elements from several different wild animal stamp sets to make the cards. Below I used a freebie set from a magazine. (Not sure which one but it’s defo from a mag by Practical Publishing!)

For this one I used animals from the Taylored Expressions, Clearly Planned, Sneak a Peek set.

And finally I used characters from a very old Hero Arts set I own CL155 – Playful animals with a croc I like from the Noah’s Ark set by Inkadinkadoo, which may be even older, lol!.

Really enjoyed this process! Adapting a single layout made life simple and it also felt good to use some stamps I haven’t ever made great use of before now!
