It’s time to colour Peonies!

Finally I can share the exciting news that with the beautiful new Peony Stamp from the Annie’s Garden collection at Stamp Anniething, you can now also purchase my peony pencil colouring class! If you buy the stamp AND my class, the class will only cost you $10! (£7.55!) but without the stamp it is still only $15!

(Please be aware some of the links in this post are affiliate links, I will get a small chunk of cash back when you use my links to purchase things!)

This is another super flower drawn by the amazing Ron Kropf! It was a real pleasure to colour, here is the finished result you will get at the end of the class!

If you have any questions about the class, please do ask me! On here, Facebook or Instagram! I know I’d want to know which pencils I would need, so here is a sneak preview of the full selection needed. But remember you can swap for similar colours, ask if you can’t work out what else would work!

(24 Polychromo Tin +  118 Scarlet Red, 123 Fuchsia, 124 Rose Carmine, 167 Perm Green Olive, 173 Olive Green Yellowish, 175 Dark Sepia, 223 Deep Red )

I am using Kendal Manilla Buff Cardstock for this colouring, it is sold in the Stamp Anniething Shop. It is a relatively smooth kraft card if you are searching for a dupe.

At the end of my colouring I add some pretend “splashes” around my flower to get an artsy vibe! You can skip that stage if you love a clean finish! I added some acrylic water droplets too from my stash.

I always stamp my rubber stamp twice on my colouring page, once in black and once paler so I can refer to the lines of the stamp on my black version, whilst colouring the paler version no-line-colouring style. When there is lots of detail on a stamp, this can really help you out after a few layers of pencil!

If you have a favourite peony, why not find some reference pictures and print them out to refer to whilst you colour? I chose a very generic pink peony but I still found some pics (and real peonies in the garden) to give me inspo for my colouring!

I think referring to nature for inspo can really enhance the end result.

In this class I only show you how I colour it up! You can add details (caterpillars?) embellishments (sequins?) or change it up from a CAS card into your fab style? (Pop up box vase?)

Thanks for coming to look at the blog post! Remember you can always ask me questions, I honestly never mind chatting about pencils, or plants for that matter so shout if you want info or need assistance! (If in doubt, pop to Stamp Anniething Stampers on Facebook for chatter and help!)
