Morning! Starting to think about getting some Easter cards made for next month and I’ve been trying to find a good project to use Valiant Vic from Dr.Digi’s for a while!
Here is what he looks like in the shop –
And here is a close up of my version. I used Polychromo pencils on kraft card. Highlights were made with posca pens, I’ve been trying to use paint pens a bit more in my colouring and I’m not sure if they contributed to making this colouring a bit more cartoony? But maybe it’s just the “Happy Easter” on the flag?? I did add the the text to the flag (Samdan Font) because it’s left blank to customise! 🙂
For my background, and printed directly onto my 300 gsm cardstock, I used a recoloured version of the yellowy “Eggs Backing Paper” and literally just swapped a few colours to make it match my colouring better.
I 3D foam mounted my topper onto my card blank and then added a few enamel dots from the stash.
