Sharing a newish release today, this is British Summertime, digistamp from Dr.Digi’s House of Stamps! Yep, it’s another Dr.Digi DT Friyay! After 5 years it gets tough to think of something original to say on my DT post, lol!
Got pretty excited when I saw this new stamp, it contains many of the things I love to colour, plus a bit of a green-light-cast-shadow thingy that I thought might be nice to have a go at! Here is what the stamp looks like in the shop –
And here is a close-up of my version, coloured in Polychromo Pencils as normal!!
So I was keen to try adding some green glow to his head thinking light coming thru the umbrella would definitely cast some colour underneath. Did a gentle version of that idea, think I could have done more, but I liked the effect. Also love colouring wood, and dogs, but quite enjoyed doing the retro plaid flask as well, lol!
Also for this card I used a sentiment from the Grumpy Sentiment Set and the Brolly Backing Paper.
I wanted to involve the sentiment a bit, so added some wet rain drops/drips down the sides and coloured in some of the wording too!
I always save the dog til last cos it’s my fav bit to colour 😀 Thanks for joining me today! The weather is so thoroughly autumny today, it really does feel like the end of summer and maybe even the beginning of winter! So erm, yes, it’ll be all about making Xmas cards soon, lol!
