So not all christmas bears are polar! I went with a Panda for my second card (see the first one here) using the Silent Night Clear Stamp Set from the awesome November release at La La Land Crafts!
Just a quick reminder of the products I used (like last time) the Silent Night Clear Stamp Set, the Very Merry Paper Pack, the Pine Needles Die, the Crescent Moon Die and various bits from the stash! Here is what the stamp looks like –
And here is a close up of my panda, coloured with polychromo pencil on kraft card. I add highlights with a white posca pen, and a white Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen B, sometimes also a white gel pen, but I couldn’t find one that worked today, lol!
I am so pleased he came out cute, I was a bit worried til the end, but I think he worked ok! I find black and white fur one of the hardest to do, it’s very easy to drag the black into the white and make a right mess!
So the poms-poms, enamel stars, red card etc was all from the stash, but the lovely sentiment was part of the stamp set. It’s a smashing set of sentiments with this set, I will get a lot of use out of them even when not using the bears, shhhhh don’t tell 😉
So that was the second bear card! And here the two cards are together, kinda the same, but different!
I really enjoyed making these two, it’s been a while since I went down this kinda path with my style but it was so nice working with all these lovely co-ordinating papers! Also a bonus to get some super cute Xmas cards ready to use!
