Owl

Still merrily colouring away at the stamps in the “Oh Pooh” release from Stamp Anniething! I stuck with my “added balloons” theme for an Owl card this time. I love this sentiment. And also, I love colouring owls 😀

This is a quick reminder of the stamp set. It was a full release with dies and stencils and things, so make sure to check out the shop for any remaining stock if you are interested!

Here is a close up of Owl! He was actually a little small to add a full feather pattern to, so I just did my best, and went more fur style colouring in the little bits where it was too teeny for actual feathers. I used the colours in the film for inspo, but in the end went with slightly more colour to help bring him forward and pop a little! This is polychromo pencils on Kendal Manilla Buff Cardstock. I also used a white posca pen and a white gel pen.

If Kendal Manilla Buff isn’t in stock at the moment, and you want some, make sure you click the “notify me when available” button so Annie knows she needs to get it into the shop pronto, lol!

I gave him a bit of a woodland scene to be stood in, just because he looked like he needed to be grounded, and doing some “floor” often fixes that issue. The paper I used is from the Doodlebug At the Zoo pad, one of my all time favs, and I used a kraft card 6×6″ blank too. Sequins are from the stash (the glue hadn’t quite dried when I took my pics, oops) and the acorn brad, or should I say “ye olde acorny bradde” is from the stash. It was a set called Woodland Folk by Papermania and I loved it, I wanted ALL OF IT for Christmas that year, and to be honest, I barely used any of it. It was fabulous to use with other things from the set, but really hard to match with my other stash. Amazon thinks it was released in 2013, seems quite likely! I’ve used most of it up now, eventually, over about 12 years, lol.

Just in case you didn’t see the cards I made earlier with this set, here is Eeyore and Winnie the Pooh with Piglet. I wanted to do a balloon theme for this set. I have already posted the Winnie card to a friend.

I still really fancy doing a Tigger card at least, I love that this set is so fun and really begs to be coloured! But on to the next release, excited to share that with you in May! Thanks for reading this far down the page. You are a rarity, lol!
