Swing into Spring Instahop

Happy Birthday to me! Sweet November Stamps have kindly bought out April Diamond Dragon just for me! Oh, ok, maybe not, but I am very excited to have monthly dragons! This one is a corker. There is also May Emerald Dragon in this release, but I had to pick one 😀

This project is part of the “Swing into Spring” Instahop and run over NOW cos it ends tomorrow. I know, I am late posting this, but in my defence, it was my birthday yesterday and I was busy mainly eating Chinese Takeaway and watching the Season 3 finale of “From”.

Here is my card using Diamond Dragon, and I thought he looked like he needed a crystal cave to live in, and then got very distracted making the cave! It’s defo not perfect but was my first go at a Crystal Cave, in my defence 😀

Also in my defence, this was my first go at using white pencil to act as a wax-resist-scales and then gently layering colour over the top. What do you think? It is considerably easier than individual scales! Here is a close up so you can form an opinon?

I stamped my dragon onto Kendal Manilla Buff Cardstock (should be restocked soon, so choose the notify when available option may be? ) and coloured with Polychromo pencils, white gel pen, white, yellow and pink posca pen and black micron pen.

I used papers from the stash, and off cuts from my Sunny Studio Classic Gingham 6×6 pad to layer my background on to a 6×6 card blank. I haven’t added bling yet, I thought I might go with some glitter, but am thinking about it!
