Cthulhu the Easter Bunny

So, I set myself a little challenge, I wanted to colour up all the Cthulhus in the doctor-digi shop! It’s been a very long term challenge, finally achieved with Cthulhu the Easter Bunny!

Here is what the digistamp looks like in the shop

And here is a close up of my Cthulhu. It’s polychromo pencils on kendal manilla buff cardstock, also posca paint pens for pops of highlight and colour. I also used a black micron pen this time to draw back in some lines, he was pretty pale and it was hard to make his hands distinct, so I added in some sharpness with black.

For my background I recoloured one of the Eggs Backing Paper Set to be pink and green. It’s a very simple process in photoshop and I love the flexibility digital backing papers give me. I printed it at size onto 300gsm white cardstock and then just cut it out to make my patterned card blank.

I cut out my topper and trimmed one corner with my Fiskars corner scissors (one of the best investments I ever made!) and then 3D foam mounted it to the card blank. I didn’t add any bling, it seemed rather…erm…”busy” already! So I left it as is, though I might add some stickles glitter before I post it!

Thanks for joining me for an Easter post! I thought I would round things off with a quick mini-combo-cthulhu-gallery for my complete set!

  1. Well…I’m not sure how I’d feel about seeing an Easter bunny like THAT but your colouring is absolutely amazing! Just…WOW!!
