Sharing some WIP shots, need to finish them off and tidy them up and smooth out some blends still. Took some time to educate myself on the types of Islamic veils, how to spell and fold a saree and whether any human can have natural blue black hair melanin. When you are colouring, if there is an excuse to dive off and research something new, I think you should take it 🙂

Here are the three stamps I was working with today! They are all currently available for just $3 including the co-ordinating die! From left to right they are Taani Balle Balle, Jameela Friends Listen and Liang Checkmate.

Here are a close up of my three atm, they might be added to before I claim them to be finished! This is using Polychromo pencils on Kendal Manilla Buff Cardstock. I also used a white and yellow posca pen, a white gel pen and a black micron pen. Click on the pictures to enlarge them.

I really enjoy working on different skin colours, often putting down a base layer of a colour/tone can really help with creating a realistic result.

Thanks for joining me for a WIP post! I am a big believer in educating yourself on things you don’t know about and aiming to be kind whenever you can be 🙂 It applies to most of life!
