Do you trust me?

Really loved the Aladdin release at Stamp Anniething. I actually did three cards, this one with Aladdin, The Genie and Jasmine. But I hated this one with a passion and couldn’t bring myself to upload it. I didn’t actually bin it, I popped it in my “harvestable” cards pile so I could re-use the apple clay sprinkles. Anyway…. dug it out, tried to freshen it up a bit and here we go. It wasn’t quite as awful as I thought at the time. I think!

I thought some people might find comfort in everyone having disasters and wanting to give up on their card? I certainly did the first time someone told me. My top tip is not to destroy it. Just rest it on top of the bin for a bit and in the morning decide if it should stay there or be saved.

Here is what he looks like in the shop (he also has a great matching die).

And here is a close up of my version, I wasn’t at all happy with it at the time, but it’s maybe ok. Ish 😀 Abu looks cool at least !

I stamped my topper onto Kendal Manilla Buff Cardstock, when I finished colouring with Polychromos, I cut it out including the 3 centre arches. I made that into a shaker window using the apple clay sprinkles (a past Stamp Anniething product that I forget the name of, oops). On the computer I made a scene (I didn’t have the lovely stencil that came with the release) to put behind him. Then I mounted the topper onto a piece of paper from the Glitter Paradise Set and the Stripes and Dots 6×6 Pad.

What do you think, should I have saved it from the bin? Can you spot all the wonky things I don’t like about it? lol! I am awful for being hyper-critical of my colourings, it’s a real issue sometimes. Oh and I hate things when they looks wonky and don’t line up straight! 😀
