Beebs

In the Sweet November March Newsletter, (I know, more time traveling!) Artist Amy Young very kindly shared a free tribute stamp to her gorgeous kitty cat Beebs. Beebs will live on as this gorgeous stamp and if you would like to know a bit more of his story, you can check out Amy’s post on her blog. If you missed the free newsletter version, you can still find the stamp for sale in the Sweet November Shop!

I love colouring fur….and kitties….and especially black kitties which are very unrepresented apart from at Halloween, lol! Here is what the stamp looks like in the shop

There are some fabulous examples in the shop btw, if you want to see how the Design Team coloured him up! Worth checking out!

And here is a close up of my version. I did borrow a picture of the real Beebs to try and get a realistic result. The colour might change a bit between my pics, it was hard to get a good white balance… having had many black pets in the past to photograph, it was always hard to get a good photo!

So this is Polychromo Pencils on Kendal Manilla Buff Cardstock. To enhance the browny element to the black fur I decided to layer up my topper on browny papers from my stash.

The font I used is called Dynasty. I did pop it on my topper, but decided it would work a bit better added with some 3D foam instead.

Been a while since I had done a kitty post. I do really miss colouring cats…. and I do have ALOT of cat loving friends to send cards too! Remember to sign up to the Sweet November Newsletter so you get all the freebies for free!
