Holiday Misfits!

Although I was completely distracted by the Yeti in the Holiday Misfits Bundle I couldn’t leave Santa and Sam Snowman behind!

For a change, I coloured with Polychromo Pencils on White Paper (Faber Castell Sketch Pad 160gsm) and took advantage of being able to use lots of white in the background! (You can’t really use a white background when you colour onto kraft card, it makes the colouring look dull, but it’s fine with other colours!)

Here is what the large stamp set looks like in the shop –

I stamped them onto my Faber Castell paper and then coloured with Polychromos and some white posca pen/white gel pen. Then I cut them out.

I cut out some 13cm squares from my White 300gsm Card stash and inked on stencil patterns leaving a masked circle in the centre. For my Santa cards I used the Flower Tile Stencil and for the Snowman card I used the Poppy Stencil. (I used the SA Hybrid Inks for this, Blossom, Crimson, Parakeet and Willow Bough and my SA Blending Brush.)

I then mounted my characters and sentiments on to my toppers and then matt and layered my topper onto red/green card. I then 3D foamed this onto my 6″x6″ card blanks! I found some holly bling in the stash to use as a embellishment!
