Frida

This Dr.Digi style fairy is Frida the Flower Fairy! She was actually my current digi to experiment colouring techniques on, but as she was almost completely coloured I thought I would add her to a card, rather than my art journal!

Here is what she looks like in the shop –

And here is a close up of my version. I used some new wing ideas using pencils and posca pens, plus a different kind of hair texture using a gel pen. I also created the spots on the mushroom with posca pens and a pencil shadows to see if I could make them look raised off the page! Not sure all my new experiments worked out, but it was nice to have a play with some ideas!

When I made up the card I used the purple version of the Bloomin 70s Backing Paper.

After she was mounted on my card blank I added some stickles glitter glue and I decided to raise my sentiment with some 3D foam.
