Another friday another lady feeding flap jacks to the ducks?!? This is Maude and the Mallards a new digi from Dr.Digi’s House of Stamps! I actually live very near a river and there is always hoo-ha about people feeding the ducks with the wrong things! Apparently low sugar flap jacks (is that really a thing?) are ok to feed them. I am still not sure!

For this card I also went with a biscuit theme and used the Tea and Bickies Backing Paper Set and the Tea Time Sentiment Sheet. I re-coloured the Custard Cream Paper to include some purple, it’s simple to highlight the colour you want to replace and then using a large brush, fill or colourise change it to something that matches your image.
I really enjoyed researching for my Mallard duck colouring. Actually they have pretty complicated markings, and I don’t think I have ever really studied them below their greeny head before! I love looking at things with a fresh eye! Colouring certainly makes me do that on a regular basis!
Thanks for joining me for another post! 😀 I spent a looonnnnngggg time on this patterned dress, not sure it worked as well as I had hoped, I actually coloured it all up and then muted it with a white pencil, it felt painful but did seem to make it part of the picture and not the main focus. Sometimes you have to be brave and undo your hard work a little….it’s scary though! lol.
