An increasingly rare event, a commissioned card! This is Pablo the Painter, and I have coloured him up whilst he is working on a portrait of Pugsley! (I removed Pugsley’s antlers as it wasn’t a christmassy theme!)

Here is what the stamp looks like in the shop –
And here is a close up of my version. I did him pretty big on this card, the topper is 16 square centimetres. This is all polychromo pencils on kendal manilla buff cardstock. I used some white posca pen for highlights.

Eagle eyed Dr.Digi fans may recognise I have done Pablo before, that time he was much much smaller as I wanted to add him to a complicated gallery background. Weirdly it’s almost exactly 3 years since the last time I used him! Here is a close up of last time.

Obviously I added the Pugsley Stamp to his painting, so it looked like he was painting a dog portrait. (The family who commissioned this have a black pug!) Also for my background I used a slightly recoloured version of one of the papers in Sepia Stripes. I know it’s my most used paper set, but it’s cos it’s so easy to make match ANY project!

I really wanted to make his smock look splattered this time, rather than just a painterly mess, I am not sure I achieved it, but it was a fun overall look! Once it was all made up I added some stickles glitter to the “80” and some splashy bling in one corner.

Thanks for joining me for a re-do post! I very very rarely re-do a stamp, cos I have a pitiful attention span, so this was a pretty rare event in more than one way, a commission and a re-do! Check out more digis you might want to colour more than once in the Dr.Digi Shop!
