Blaze

Happy last Monday of the month, and it’s a Stamp Anniething DT day!!! I have been fiddling with this image for a while and was just doing it for my art journal, but thought I would share it too, so not a card for a change! This is Blaze the Phoenix and he is a digistamp!

So I have been watching a lot of Ink Master on YouTube atm, and really enjoying tattoo art, and tattoo techniques and use of colour, so I thought I would apply some of those things to a digistamp! I am not sure I succeeded with that, but I had a go at it!! Here is Blaze in the shop –

And here is a bit of a close up of my version, it’s all polychromo pencils and then highlights using white paint pens and white pitt pens –

I don’t normally do a full background, not that I don’t like doing them, it just takes so long to get a finish I like. I did grab my derwent colourless blender to help me out a bit.

I used less than 10 pencils for this, mainly dark red, orange, yellow, black and turquoise, I just wanted to play around more and think a bit less!

My partner doesn’t like the blue swirl but it was part of the tattoo reference, altering the weight of the image and adding somewhere to put text. I might add “Rise Above” to it at some point, but I was a bit worried I might mess it up! lol.
