I’ve been messing around with my Stamp Anniething stencils and some watercolour backgrounds for quite a while, and whilst this one if a bit sombre I kinda like how it came out so made it up into a sympathy card.

I used the bird from the Desert 2 Stencil Builder and the Rocks&Trees from the Mountain Stencil Builder using Polychromo Pencils onto my watercolour background. It was a pretty random blue and grey background I made using Gansai Tambi watercolours

I then mounted my image onto some navy cardstock from the stash and some frayed edged tissue paper. I took my sentiment from the Iris stamp in the Annie’s Garden Collection.

I framed the sentiment and made a small banner including a few silver studs from the stash as an embellishment. They are super tiny!

So it turned out to be a very simple sympathy card and I think the style of mounting the image made it seem slightly warmer and less bleak, still a bit unsure tho! 🙂
Thanks for joining me today, I absolutely love stencils and I’m looking forward to the new Stencil Club at Stamp Anniething! Check out the details here. (It’s free shipping in the USA so you can get a quote for how much it is if you live elsewhere!)
