Some news from Cartway Cards today! I have been lucky enough to join the Design Team at Elvi Studio! I am only doing one project per month (just ‘cos I am busy this year!) and I selected Dark Elf, who I thought would be super on the cover of my next art journal!
I love colouring this kind of fantasy character, tho it’s hard to put it down and call it finished and not keep adding details! If Dark Elf isnt in the shop at the moment, he will be back there very soon! New updates are happening for Elvi Studio in etsy and kofi!
Here is a close up of my version. He is coloured with polychromos and some white posca pen!
The background is out of a sticker book that I have almost used every sticker from and didn’t want to ditch these nice natural backgrounds, so saved it to upcycle! Thought a wood scene would be perfect for him!
I layered the main square of background on olive green and gold paper from the stash. From the off-cuts I saved some fern and tree stump to add to the foreground. This is a kraft paper scrapbook from Hobbycraft. I bought a few when they were on offer 🙂
