Growing Beauty

Good Monday Stamp Anniething Morning to you! I am back with my slightly-weird-obsession, pencil and stencil! I really liked the Desert 2 Stencil Builder and really loved the “Wet My Plants” digi and thought they would make an interesting combo?! What do you reckon?

Let’s start with “Wet My Plants“, here is the digi in the shop, she does come with her own sentiment –

And here is my version close up! I spent a lot of time on her hat, an adapted version of knitting technique but I wanted to make it look like woven straw. I printed a light version of the digi onto kraft card and cut it out after colouring with Polychromo Pencils.

And then to my obsession, here is the stencil I was playing with this week, the Desert 2 Stencil Builder

So I started having a good study of the stencil to work out where I would like my stripes of colour to begin and end, then I used standard 300 gsm white cardstock and Gansai Tambi Watercolours to make a washy background. When it had dried I went in with the stencils and gently added layers of pencil using the Stencil for outlines. I think it worked out ok this time?

I had to crop my background a fair bit for the final card but I think I included all the important bits for making a nice backdrop for the digi! I wanted a sentiment to use for a New Home card so picked this one to go with my watering in the desert theme, lol. Sentiment is in Candy Buzz BTN font

I decided to add a bit of interest to the sentiment and added some Stamp Anniething Enamel Dots too!

Thanks for joining me today! I have started with using the Asian Living Stencil for another experimental card! Can’t wait to share it with you! Hope you are having a great start to the week, chat soon!
