Commissioned First Birthday card today, and I went with a watercolour zebra and flowers to fit the glamourous zoo themed party plans!

I haven’t tried to foil anything since… well at least 20 years, it was one of the first fun new techniques I tried out whilst getting into card making. Anyway TKMaxx has loads of Mont-Marte craft stuff at the moment and I grabbed a copper foil leaf pack and later at another TKMaxx store, the glue to go with it! Bargain! So after I water-coloured the zebra pattern (adapted from free clip art online) using Gansai Tambi Watercolour paints I added some elements of copper foil too.

To finish I added some flowers and bling with a sentiment. I had some white leaves that I stained to match the colour theme. I had a few goes at the zebra and I used the watercolour/ink background I made during one of the other attempts for matt and layering of this version, so a perfect match!
