Teaser for the super new September release from Stamp Anniething today! I love this Greetings Earthling image! I coloured her up and decided I’d like to keep her, so added her to a little notebook I am going to start to keep track of my pencil combo’s in!
Here is what the stamp set looks like, she comes with some greetings too, which is appropriate, lol –
And here is my version of her in polychromo pencils on kraft card –
I masked the green notebook so I could have some tidy edges to my galaxy sky and then blended some distress oxides for a deep galaxy look. I flicked on some white ink and some water for some stars/planets interest and finally some white paint for a few brighter stars. I did this effect front and back of the notebook. And added some stickles too.
I decided it would be nice to add a page marker, or four to the notebook so I can keep track of my segments – hair, skin, eyes etc. I stapled the ribbon and cord onto the back cover and added some alien beads to the cord.
I wanted to keep a pen with the notebook so I made a little pen holder out of a bulldog clip and elastic band. It also holds the notebook closed when I’m not using it.
Really looking forward to pretending to be an organised earthling some time soon! lol.
