Sliding by to say Hi!

Hello All! It’s a cheery Stamp Anniething DT day today, and I bring thus, much cheery joy! This is the Trio of Kids, Sliding by to say Hi stamp set from a few releases ago, so new-ish. I’ve had it on the go for a little while, it was perfect for practising my skin and hair ideas.

I had so much fun with skin tones, hair shine, mix and match backing papers! It was all about the fun this make. As normal it’s all polychromo pencils, white gel pen, and white posca pen.

I stamped the stamp once in SA Birch Hybrid Ink and once in SA Obsidian Hybrid Ink, so I could do no-lines colouring, but have a handy reference of where the lines were meant to be!

Here is what the stamp looks like –

And here is a close up of my version –

I really wanted to get the metal looking like metal, and the colours of the clothes in the reflection. It was pretty hard tbh, some of it looks as I want, but other parts, maybe not! lol.

I also used some of the Stamp Anniething 6×6 paper packs – Luck O’ the Irish and Welcome Spring.

I really enjoy working with just my SA 6×6 pads, there is a really good variety of colours and patterns, but by limiting my choice, and ignoring the mahousive paper stash, I can make decisions much more quickly. Part of my slow crafting issues are mainly from needing to look at EVERY piece of paper I own, to make sure I don’t miss out on the best match!

I also raided my rainbow enamel dots for those empty corners…why can’t I leave an empty corner?? I don’t know, lol. Same reason I shy away from jaunty angles I am sure. 🙂

Thanks for joining me today! I needed a fun break in between colouring somewhat serious flower stamps! Hope you enjoyed it too? Why not check out all the chibi stamps in the SA shop? There are loads of stamps to kick off your mojo! 😀
