Lily Pad and Dragonfly

Thought I would just rustle up a quick post to go with my Lily Pad and Dragonfly project that I shared in my Live this week (in the Stamp Anniething Stampers Facebook Group)!

It’s a gorgeous stamp set (designed by Ron Kropf for Stamp Anniething), and I enjoyed compiling the elements to make a single image I could use CAS style. Here is the stamp set in the shop

And here is my version –

I spent alot of time working on the pinks within the flower, tho it’s probably the leaves that have the most impact?? (Flowers are polychromo pencils – 101, 109, 123, 129, 133 and grey for the shadows)

I used my normal polychromos, as well as a metallic silver polychromo in the water for the ripples, they gleam a bit! I also used white gel pen and stickles. The dragonfly eyes are tiny black beads, I think the dragon flies look almost fabric art, rather than pencil?

In real life the backing paper (Love is in the Air 6×6 pad) and the lilac bling kind of match much better than in the photos, I think!? Now I’ve seen the photo I am tempted to swap it out for something else, lol, that might happen! Tho a pop of a pinky colour works well with the flower.

Thanks for joining me at the live or later for this post! I am going to tackle iridescent sheen again later, I feel I need a larger surface to demo on and no worries about matching a project, lol!
