Hello! Back with some flowery work from the second stage of the Annie’s Garden Collection (by artist Ron Kropf) from Stamp Anniething. I took my time with this “Poppy“, and modelled it on Patty’s Plum, one of my favourite kinds of poppy.

Really enjoyed colouring this one, tried lots of new techniques and trying to grasp the different textures in a poppy, it was a challenge.
Here is a look at the stamp in the shop –
And here is my version –

As normal it’s polychromos on kraft card. I didn’t use any posca or gel pen, just kept it clean.

I thought I might go uber-CAS but added a few sequins to add a bit of light and cheery to the card. I think I might have hit upon a weird purple hue that confuses the camera a bit. Here is one of my close-ups, it’s interestingly far bluer than the others. But thought you might like to scrutinise it anyway 🙂

I often try and get some progress shots when I colour but always forget about half way through! I remembered this time so I thought I would share!

Thanks for joining me today, please check out the all the Annie’s Garden Stamps, the new ones are smashing (just like the older set!) and I hope you fancy colouring them up too!
