Love Wins

Just a quick post (but with lots of info!) to share my card today that I made for the Love Wins Hop!

#Lovewins #LoveWinsHop #craftingwithpride

The hop is occurring on instagram, but I thought I would include some details here and maybe you’d like to head to Instagram and take part? By following, liking, sharing on Insta you have a chance to win some great prizes!

If you haven’t hopped before, you visit my instagram account and click on the latest picture. Underneath that picture I will show you the account you need to head to next. Leave a comment on each “hop” picture you visit until you do a full circle and end up back at my instagram account. Hop done!

This is my card for the hop! I used a sentiment from the Stamp Anniething Never Hide You Pride Sentiment set and used the Stamp Anniething Pride Digistamp- Siv! (see below for more details!)

For my skin today today I used Polychromo colours – 101, 115, 130, 156, 177, 187, 190, 268

I am part of the “purple day” on the hop (purple is for spirit) and it’s the final round of hopping (17th June) during the event. I am sharing my support for LGBTQIA+ crafty friends and allies.

It is also Pride month this month! Pride originated from the early morning of June 28th, 1969, when LGBT community members rioted following a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in Greenwich Village.  The first parade was on the first anniversary of this riot.  It’s important to celebrate Pride today because there are still many rights and privileges not afforded to the LGBTQIA community.

The new pride flag – read why here.

I am also representing Stamp Anniething today, who have produced some digital images for #LOVEWINS LGBTQIA+ Instagram Hop!

For every download of the new digis you get a chance to win the pride sentiment stamp set, and if you donate to True Unite Colors (More than $7, link is below) you will get 4 chances to win. Winners will be announced on 1st July. All sales of the stamps will go to charity.

Stamp Anniething has chosen the charity True United Colors. We will be donating all proceeds from the sale of the three images to True Unite Colors until the end of June which is Pride month. We have our own Stamp Anniething Donation Page as well if you want to donate an alternative amount or support without buying an image.

True Colors United implements innovative solutions to youth homelessness that focus on the unique experiences of LGBTQ young people. In the United States, 4.2 million youth experience homelessness each year, with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth 120% more likely to experience homelessness than their nonLGBTQ peers. True Colors United is committed to changing that. If we can ensure that services are safe for and affirming of the most impacted young people, we can be confident that they’ll be safe and affirming for everyone. We believe that youth homelessness is a community issue. Real change can happen when people come together with a shared vision.

I coloured her with polychromo pencils as normal and MAY have added rather alot of sparkle to her cape! The paper I used is from the Stamp Anniething Hocus Pocus 6×6 Paper Pack.

Thanks for popping to my blog and showing an interest in something that the Stamp Anniething team are passionate about! If you would like to take part in the hop, head to instagram and get clicking 🙂 Or launch the app and find me @cartway_cards
