Aced it!

Seems like eons ago now, but Stamp Anniething had an awesome May release at the beginning of May, and as it’s my DT day today here is one of the two cards I made for the release! (As well as these two cards that were extras, lol!)

This is the card I made with Gigi You Aced It!

And here is a look at the stamp and sentiments that come with it –

And this is a close up of my colouring –

I stamped the Gigi You Aced It stamp onto kraft cardstock using SA Birch Hybrid Ink and opted for a tie-dye tennis outfit using my polychromos. I created a background that consisted mainly of horizontal stripes of colour to make the second part of my process easier, the frame. Highlights were made with a white posca pen.

I then cut a frame mount for my finished coloured image that would sit over the top of her. I marked out where the lines of the background fell on the mount so I could keep to the same lines when I used my stencil builders on the frame.

I used the Grass Stencil Builder and the Cloud Stencil Builder and Stamp Anniething Hybrid Inks – Parakeet, Caribbean Sea, Clear Skies. Because I needed some extra colours I also used Distress Oxides – Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint. For the white ink I used Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink. Basically it was a lot of masking and blending!

Before using the finished frame I gave it a spray with Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle – Pearl Diamond so it’s super sparkly, a bit more obvious in this picture and really not a great idea if you want to take photos, lol! I then mounted it over the coloured image with 3D foam. Then onto a card blank.

I was really pleased with my skin tone for Gigi, if you are interested I used the Polychromo pencils -101, 109, 130, 177, 187, 190, 191, 268. Quite a lot! But I really like the result!

Thanks for joining me today for Post 1! Post 2 to follow shortly, I love the release so much I had to make two cards! And would have made three had I had more time! 😀
