Mermazing!

Hi! Can’t believe it’s already my first April Dr.Digi DT day! Really enjoyed working with the “Rolling in the Deep” digi! I went a bit rainbow about it. 🙂

This digi was such a pleasure to colour up, really enjoyed myself. Here is what she looks like in the shop –

I went through my normal process using my picture editing software to create a topper with the image (slightly lighter than original) and the greeting in black. I print this out and colour it up. Then I cut it to size and 3D foam mount it onto a card blank that I have already printed one of the papers from Distressed Diamonds Backing Paper Set on to.

I used the blue version of the backing paper but added some purple tones randomly to it. That’s the lovely thing about digital backing papers, you can make them fit a scheme very easily! I also added some Wink of Stella to the edges. ( You can see a bit of a glimmer from it in the photo below.)

I was going to add some more scale details to her tail but decided the texture and colour was already looking pretty fishy, so left it alone. I did add some stickles to the starfish (not a euphemism) and her eye make-up (waterproof?).

The greeting is in the font Atlas of the Magi. I used a white posca pen for some highlights. Gems are from a set they are currently selling in Hobbycraft.
